Emotional Eating & Four Christmases

Published by angie32 at 5:27 pm under weight loss Edit This

There is a new film out called “Four Christmases” starring Reese Witherspoon. It’s this scene where her boyfriend is looking at an old picture of her when she was overweight. She says, ” I ate my feelings.” And he replies, “You must have had a lot of feelings.” That scene stood out to me. Is that the contributing factor in gaining weight. Emotions without an outlet. Not being able to deal with how we are really feeling. Pain, sorrow, anger, joy, love, disappointment all lost somewhere between our minds and Crispy Cremes. Managing our emotions is just as important as diet and exercised. If we don’t then we will eventually gain all the weight back. It’s very few overweight women or men who have never lost a pound in their life. Everyone has the power to lose weight. It’s not an impossible task. What’s difficult is maintaining that weight loss. Not letting our environment or circumstance dictate what goes onto our plate. We all have a lot of emotions it’s how we deal with them that counts. My question for the day that I’d like you to think about is…. Who are you? How do you deal with your emotions?
